Find in Editor

The below functions are available in [Edit] > [Find]. You can use shortcuts for more convenience.
  • Find (Ctrl + F (Mac: ⌘F)): Finds words using a variety of options. You can open the "Find" pop-up window directly by clicking the
icon on the top toolbar, or right-click in the editor. If an area is selected in the editor, the selected area will be automatically entered in the search term. See below for details on how to find it.
  • Find Next (Ctrl + G (Mac: ⌘G)): Moves to the next position of the word you're looking for. You will be moved to the last word found after closing the Find dialog.
  • Find Previous (Ctrl + Shift + G (Mac: ⌘⇧G)): Moves to the previous position of the word you're looking for. You will be moved to the last word found after closing the Find dialog.
In the "Find" pop-up window, you have three options for finding words: After applying the options you want, press the right arrow [>>] icon or press Enter to find a word.
  • Case Sensitive[Aa]: Select to match the capitalization of the word you are looking for. When Case Sensitive is off, the alphabet is matched regardless of the case.
  • Whole words [""]: Find only if the word you are looking for is exactly the word itself.
  • Use Regular Expression Expressions [.*]: Find words by regular expression expressions.
When a word is found, the results appear in the form of 'current word position / total number of words found' at the far right of the 'find' pop-up window. Left and right arrow buttons make it easy to find the previous and next word.
