Layout
goormIDE allows you to customize your own default layout.
You can configure from the [WINDOW] submenu or use shortcuts for more convenience.
- New Terminal Window -
Alt + Shift + T (Mac: ⌥⇧T)
: Creates a new terminal window in your workspace. - Previous Window -
Alt + Shift + [ (Mac: ⌥⇧[)
:Activates the left window of the currently active window when multiple editors are open in a workspace. - Next Windows -
Alt + Shift + ] (Mac: ⌥⇧])
: Activates the right window of the currently active window when multiple editors are open in a workspace. - Screen Layout : Hide or show the pane of the interface. You can adjust the pane by pressing the
∧ ∨ < >
buttons or by dragging the border.- Top Pane Show/Hide -
Alt + Shift + A (Mac: ⌥⇧A)
: Shows or hides the top (menu / toolbar) layout. - Left Pane Show/Hide -
Alt + Shift + L (Mac: ⌥⇧L)
: Shows or hides the left (Project Explorer) layout. - Bottom Pane Show/Hide -
Alt + Shift + B (Mac: ⌥⇧B)
: Shows or hides the bottom layout. - Default Layout : Returns to the goormIDE's default layout.
- Toggle Screen Layout -
Alt + Shift + W (Mac: ⌥⇧W)
: Toggles left, right and bottom layouts. It closes the opened layout and opens a closed layout. - Split vertically -
Alt + Shift + V (Mac: ⌥⇧V)
: Splits the workspace vertically. You can split up to four. - Split horizontally -
Alt + Shift + H (Mac: ⌥⇧H)
: Splits the workspace horizontally. You can split up to four. - Close workspace -
Alt + C (Mac: ⌥C)
: Closes the current partitioned workspace. Combines two separated workspaces into one.
You can divide the workspace by dragging the file or clicking the split button.
