Language and Environment
I would like to use MySQL Workbench in the goormIDE. What should I do?

Setting mysql.cnf

1. Edit file.
vim /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf as below.
#bind-address = 127.0.0.1 Must be commented
2. Restart the mysql server.
service mysql restart

Allow permission to an account of MySQL.

Following as below.
$ mysql -u root -p
Enter password:
Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \\g.
Your MySQL connection id is 4
Server version: 5.7.29-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 (Ubuntu)

Setting port forwarding for MySQL.

  1. 1.
    Click [CONTAINER][Port Forwarding Configuration] in the top menu.
  2. 2.
    Select MySQL in type and click [Register].

Access MySQL server in the goormIDE container by mysqlsh

Follow as below
$ mysqlsh [email protected]:59700
Please provide the password for '[email protected]:59700':
